Some are required, some are optional. Consult with your instructor regarding policies for these "cookbook" labs.

1. Perf-board soldering lab practice | Supporting info

   Non-linear oscillator notes from EE 230. These explain the operation of the oscillator portion of the PWM circuit. As might recall, there is also a Javascript calculator to help determine the V_TL, V_TH, and oscillation frequency of the circuit.

   Soldering tutorial from Curious Inventor (about 6 min) or a similar tutorial from "One Tesla" (about 4 min). Be sure to watch one or both of these before lab.

   Prequel to the above EEVBlog video. (You can put this one off until later, if time is short now.)

   A step-by-step sequence of soldering a perfboard circuit. You can use this a guide, if you have never made a perf board prototype before. This is not the PWM circuit, but the procedure is similer. In particular, note how various connections are made by either bending leads or using hook-up wire. Also, note the use of the connector. (This circuit was a 555-based LED flasher, done as an Audio Club soldering project.)
