How to succeed in EE 230
- Come to class every day.
- Be on time.
- Read — and use — the material provided on the website.
- Take all of the quizzes.
- Use the practice problems to prepare for the quizzes ahead of time.
- Attempt all of the homework problems. Submit as much of the work on each as you can.
- On the homework problems, write legibly and submit a nicely formatted document.
- Use the homework "late freebies" strategically.
- Come to lab every week. (Be on time.)
- Make good use of your scheduled lab time.
- Be prepared for lab — read the lab instruction ahead of time and do as many calculations as possible. Build the first couple of circuits on the breadboard before coming to lab.
- Make use of the open lab times and the TLA if you need extra time to complete lab work.
- Write good lab reports.
- Work together with your lab partner. If you are having "partner difficulties", talk to your lab TAs or the course instructor to see about making different arrangements.
- If you are having difficulties with course material — or any other aspect of the class — to be sure to seek out help early. Don't wait until it is too late address problems.
